I don't know why I always get my hopes up.
Comic book movies = bad.
V For Vendetta = comic book movie.
V For Vendetta = bad.

there is one exception to this rule: Josie and the Pussycats. when you start with a comic that is boring and stupid to begin with, there is a slight chance that it turns into a pretty entertaining flick.

but generally speaking, don't make comic movies, and for the love of monkeys, STOP TOUCHING ALAN MOORE COMICS. he does not need improving upon. I won't even start about League, because I don't like crying at work.

Yeah, it should probably be "Movies based on English language superhero comic books = bad" since the Japanese don't seem to have a problem adapting Manga into Anime, and that would give me some wiggle room for when I finally get around to seeing A History of Violence which I’m assuming is good (how can a David Cronenberg movie starring Viggo Peter Mortensen Jr. be bad?), but it's so much more fun to paint with broad stokes.

As for The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen…I admire and appreciate your restraint.
