They say that when one of my great aunts died, uncle Nicky took her dog out into the woods and shot it. My great aunt Mary's dog lived for over a year after aunt Mary died. The way my dad got rid of her might be more 'humane', but the result is the same for the dog. Good bye, Stinky.

I've never been to a sporting event with any part of my body painted team colors or a letter printed on my chest.

I was hanging out by the T crossing by the Castle Shannon fire hall. I was talking to this other kid. It turned out he was also a cartoonist. It turned out his name was also Nick. This lead to some confusion. I thought it would be best if we referred to one of us as Nick and the other as Nicholas but he insisted on being called Nick and was uncomfortable calling me Nicholas. A girl showed up. We we're both attracted to her. Neither of us knew how to handle that. She wouldn't tell us her name so we referred to her as 'sweet tits'.
That was probably a mistake.

The dream lives!

This was a very good weekend.

Pure gold.

Student rushed it tonight. The line was insanely long, but I guess everyone got in since it wasn't a sellout. I've never seen so many Evgeni Malkin jerseys in one place. The game was tremendous for a little over four minutes of game time. Thanks to Nils Ekman (and Sidney Crosby) I can now put a check next to 'natural hat trick' on my list of sporting feets I've seen in person (not quite up there with no-hitter and triple play, but a good one). Part of my head was briefly on the scoreboard.

I know it's not over yet, but it's nice to go to bed on Election Night feeling like a winner. Lets hear it for subpoena power!

Do Good's deeds live on? No, Evil's deeds do, O God.
A list of palindromes via Boingboing.

I got to vote against some of my favorite people to vote against. Hopefully I'll never get to vote against them again.

I'd like to think that the end of the Saddam Hussein trial looked something like the final thirty seconds of this Kids In The Hall sketch.

In hindsight, it might not have been the smartest move to shave my head right when it started getting cold.
