I was in bed last night listening to the rain on the skylight and thinking about how much fun it was going to be to get to rake wet leaves in the morning. It took me almost three hours to get all the leaves to the curb. I don't think it would actually have been possible to rake all the leaves to the curb. I think the rake would've snapped. I raked and kicked them into a big pile and loaded them into a garbage can and dumped them in the street. I moved a lot of leaves. Also a lot of worms, spiders, ants, slugs, and grubs. It was a good thing I had my one tiny Martha Stewart gardening glove and one even smaller child's work glove.

Ah, the joys of home ownership.
