Went to the Pittsburgh Comicon on Saturday.
Spent a lot of money.
The Amazing Cynicalman paperback by Matt Feazell.
The Amazing Cyniclaman Vol. 2 #8 (which I got for free by drawing a picture of Cynicalman on a Post-it note).
Also from Matt Feazell, a Stick Figure Masterpiece of Roy Lichtenstein's WHAAM!
Issues 1-3 of Marc Hempel's Naked Brain.
A sketchbook from Adam Hughes.
The Great Taste of Deep Fried by Jason Yungbluth.
Also from Jason Yungbluth, a mini-comic, Deep Fried Suicide Note! (thrown in for free to sweeten the deal). The last story is heartbreaking.
And finally, the Top Shelf table:
Beach Safari by Markus Mawil Witzel.
Peanutbutter & Jeremy's Best Book Ever! by James Kochalka (who was at Bennington this weekend. But did Bennington have STORMTROOPERS?!?). Picked this one up on recommendation of a girl who was working the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund table.
Van Helsing's Night Off by Nicolas Mahler (also recommended by the girl at the CBLDF table).
And from Andy Runton, who was working the Top Shelf table when I was there, all three of his Owly comics, The Bittersweet Summer, Stories of a Little Owl, and The Way Home. Very cute stuff. A new Craig Thompson?
