I guess I was eight during the '86 World Series. I remember rooting for the Mets which doesn't seem right since that was back when they were in the same division as the Pirates, so, you know, muck the fets, and all that, but the Pirates weren't any good yet, so maybe that had something to do with it. Or maybe I felt an allegiance to the National League. Also, maybe my heart wasn't so full of hate yet. I remember liking Mookie Wilson. Mostly for his name. I also remember the whole "Ray Knight is my Cabbage Patch twin" line, but I had no idea what it had to do with anything.
